What is Distributed Generation (DG)?
The most common definition of DG is ‘generation which is connected to the low- or medium voltage distribution network’ – often from a source such as solar photovoltaic (PV) installed on customer’s premises – as opposed to most traditional centralised generation which is typically connected at the transmission level.
